To ensure every session we run is safe, inclusive, and incredibly fun, we ask all parents, guardians, and participants to read and agree to our core standards below.
Our Legal Commitment: PreSports Academy operates under strict alignment with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), UK Coaching standards, and British Gymnastics best practice guidelines. Our policies are reviewed annually by Academy Management to ensure the highest standards of safety and care.
Welfare Priority: We maintain a zero-tolerance stance toward any form of child abuse or neglect, ensuring the welfare of every early years child is our paramount consideration.
Action & Escalation: All concerns, disclosures, or incidents are recorded immediately using standardized reporting logs and escalated to local safeguarding authorities or the partner nursery’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) within 24 hours.
Confidentiality: Strict confidentiality is maintained at all times. All sensitive child protection data and logs are stored securely in password-protected, encrypted digital files.
Staff Vetting: Any coach or staff member found in breach of child welfare frameworks will face immediate suspension pending a full, formal investigation.
Risk Mitigation: We actively minimize risks to provide a low-risk, safe, and positive physical environment for active gymnastics and multi-sports play.
On-Site Inspections: Before any equipment is laid out, the lead coach conducts a dynamic physical check of the room—ensuring floor surfaces are dry, electrical sockets are safe, trailing wires are removed, and fire exits are completely clear.
Premium Equipment: We use specialized, lightweight under-5s equipment and gymnastics mats, which are checked daily for wear and tear. High-quality safety matting is placed under all balance and impact zones.
Nut-Free Zone: To protect children with severe, life-threatening allergies, PreSports Academy operates as a strict nut-free zone. No nut or peanut products are permitted near our active sports spaces.
First Aid Standards: At least one lead coach on-site will always hold a valid, face-to-face Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate, renewed every three years. A fully stocked mobile first aid kit is present at every single session.
Secure Handling: In accordance with UK Data Protection law and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) guidelines, we protect the privacy of all children and families in our care.
Digital Security: All registration details, emergency contact numbers, medical permissions, and media preferences are stored securely on password-protected, encrypted digital systems.
Document Retention: To comply with national safeguarding and child protection regulations, core incident registers and attendance logs are securely archived for a minimum of 24 years before legal destruction.
Rigorous Vetting: To ensure that every adult deployed by PreSports Academy is fully safe and qualified, prospective coaches must pass an Enhanced DBS check, identity verification, qualification cross-checks, and a minimum of two professional references.
Mandatory Induction: New coaches must complete mandatory safeguarding and pediatric first aid training before leading any active sessions.
Professional Conduct: All coaches sign and pledge to uphold the UK Coaching Code of Practice. Coaches must maintain clear, professional boundaries, use age-appropriate language, and act as positive, healthy role models at all times.
Equal Rights: Every child has an equal, unimpeded right to participate, learn, and feel valued in our academy.
Inclusive Curriculum: We actively design our physical literacy curriculum to be completely inclusive, ensuring children of all starting abilities, backgrounds, and developmental needs can join in the fun.
Zero Tolerance: We strictly prohibit discrimination, stereotyping, or exclusionary behavior from staff, parents, or participants
Parents, please chat through these simple, friendly rules with your child before their first session:
I will try my best and have fun!
I will be kind and supportive to the other children and my coaches.
I will listen to my coaches and follow their instructions to keep myself and others safe.
I will share and look after the equipment.
I will stay inside the safe play area marked by the cones and never leave the session without telling a coach.
I will wait safely with my coach at the end of the session until my parent, guardian, or nursery teacher comes to collect me.
To maintain a premium, low-risk coaching environment, parents must ensure the following standards are met before every class:
Clothing: Children must wear comfortable, flexible clothing free of restrictive zips, hoods, or large buttons that could catch on sports mats.
Strict Jewellery Policy: Safety is paramount during gymnastics and multi-sports. All jewellery, watches, fitness bands, and sharp hair accessories must be removed prior to the session to prevent severe catching and injury hazards. Reasonable adjustments will always be made for religious or cultural dress, provided safety is not compromised.
Footwear: Children must wear clean indoor trainers or participate in bare feet as instructed by the coach.
Punctuality: Please arrive on time so your child doesn't miss the vital warm-up. If you arrive late, please wait with your child at the edge of the space until the coach indicates it is safe and non-disruptive for them to join the active group.
Daily Check-In: A PreSports Academy coach will greet each child and immediately mark them present on our attendance register.
Authorized Collection: Children will only be dismissed to an authorized parent, guardian, or nursery staff member.
Alternative Pick-Ups: If someone else is collecting your child, you must notify us in advance with their name, a physical description, and a secure password. If our coach has any doubts, they will withhold dismissal and call you immediately.
Late Collection: No child will ever be left unaccompanied. Please notify us immediately via phone if you are running late.
Health & Absences: Please do not bring your child to a session if they are unwell, contagious, or carrying an injury. If your child will miss a private session, please drop us a quick notification via email.
Strict Opt-In Policy: No photography or video recording is ever permitted during PreSports Academy sessions unless explicit, written consent has been granted by the parent/guardian on our booking platform.
Data Protection: Consented imagery is used strictly for promotional materials, our website, and social media updates. We never publish children's surnames or identifying personal details alongside any photographs.
Right to Withdraw: Parents can withdraw their media consent at any point by emailing admin@presports.co.uk, and we will instantly remove the imagery from our digital channels.
Parent Sharing: Please respect the digital privacy of other families and partner nursery settings by ensuring you do not film or photograph other children during open events.
We Value Feedback: If you have a compliment or a minor query, please voice it directly to your lead session coach—most minor matters can be resolved instantly on-site.
Formal Concerns: If an issue requires escalation, please contact management in writing at Admin@presports.co.uk. We acknowledge all formal complaints within 48 hours, conduct a thorough investigation, and provide a formal written outcome within 14 business days.
Ofsted Rights: Because we provide early years physical literacy, parents retain the right to contact Ofsted directly at any point if they believe statutory early years welfare requirements are not being met (Ofsted Contact: 0300 123 1231)
